Alignment is the process of taking a text which has been translated and matching blocks of the original text with blocks of its translation in order to use that as a bilingual reference. memoQ offers some particular advantages over most other language service environments when it comes to aligned documents.

A video is available to learn about alignment in local projects and in the project manager controls for an online memoQ project: 60px-YT client.png

Alignment can also be useful for revision work where only the source document and its translation (in another document) are supplied. An example of how to do this is shown in this old video: 60px-YT client.png
